It’s been 2 weeks from June 30th to today. Our planting is still going on. It will take some time to get the initial results.

Today is July 13, 2021. It has been 2 weeks since the comparison test of the five spectra. Due to the high temperature, the growth of lettuce is not very good, or it may be due to other reasons.

The planted basil grows faster, and it seems that the planting effects of various spectrums are not much different.

The light PPFD for planting is the same, 150µmol/m²/s in the first week, and increased to 250µmol/m²/s in the second week.

The actual power of each specific spectrum will be announced in the final list

Below are the photos taken today

F190 spectrum, PPFD: 250µmol/m²/s. Basil grows well, that is, the visibility of the human eye is low, and it does not meet the six elements. It is friendly to the human body

F22 spectrum, PPFD: 250µmol/m²/s., reddish but high color rendering index, personally like this spectrum

F95 spectrum, PPFD: 250µmol/m²/s. Basil grows very well, and it actually looks good

This is a tunable spectrum plant light. Channel 2 is UVA and FR far red light. The second channel has not been turned on yet. We will turn on channel 2 next week.

F93 spectrum, PPFD: 250µmol/m²/s., adjustable spectrum plant light, the second channel has not been turned on yet

F190 spectrum, planted red butter lettuce and green butterfly lettuce (2 rows on the top side)

F22 spectrum, planted red butter lettuce and green butterfly lettuce (2 rows on the top side)

F95 spectrum, planted red butter lettuce and green butterfly lettuce (2 rows on the top side)

F95 is a dual-channel adjustable spectrum, the second channel has not been turned on

F93 spectrum, planted red butter lettuce and green butterfly lettuce

F93 is a dual-channel adjustable spectrum, the second channel has not been turned on

The sowing period of butter lettuce is relatively late, and the growth is generally not good. The growth of butter lettuce under the F190 spectrum is the worst. Since butter lettuce is still a seedling, the light PPFD given now is 150 µmol/m²/s, and will be adjusted to 250 µmol/m²/ next week.

Planting partition instructions, 9 and 10 partitions are on another shelf

Spectrum and power, it seems that SUL costs more electricity

Because the lamps of these two spectra cover a relatively large area, there is no reflector, the actual power consumption will be lower, but it is true that the efficiency of the solar spectrum will be much lower. Compared with other spectra, the efficiency is about 20%.
