Automatic flowering cannabis varieties can be harvested quickly, often surging from seed to harvest in as little as 8 weeks

The photoperiod flowering cannabis strains takes 12 to 18 weeks from seed to harvest, that is, 3-4 months. How long to harvest marijuana depends on the desired yields, Strain and grow style, the larger the plant, the more Long time

What are the different stages of photoperiod marijuana growth?

How long does it take to grow cannabis indoors?

  1. Germination Stage: 1-7days
  2. Seedling Stage: 1-2 weeks
  3. Vegetative Growth Stage: 3-8Weeks
  4. Before Flowering (Pre-Flowering) Stage: 1Weeks
  5. Flowering Stage: 6-10Weeks

When you grow hemp indoors, we don’t need to depend on the season. We can provide a good environment for hemp cultivation to stimulate your hemp plants to grow leaves and eventually flowers.

It can take 3-4 months to grow cannabis indoors. This means that indoor growers can actually harvest 3-4 times a year. If hemp clones are used instead of hemp seeds, the planting cycle can be further reduced.

  1. Germination Stage: 1-7days

The initial stage of the life cycle of a cannabis plant is the germination stage. The seed germinates and takes root in the soil, opening two embryonic leaves to receive light.

  1. Seedling Stage: 1-2 weeks

The embryonic leaf receives the light, and the plant will enter the seedling stage. The seedling period can last for 1 to 2 weeks, At the end of the seedling stage, the plant has about 4 to 7 leaves, and some old leaves at the bottom will begin to fall off

Seedling stage PPFD: 100~150µmol/m²/s, Light cycle: 16 hours a day

  1. Vegetative Growth Stage: 3-8Weeks (If high yield is required, the vegetative growth cycle may need to be longer)

At the beginning of the vegetative growth phase, the cannabis plant is transplanted to a larger space. During the vegetative growth phase, the roots and leaves are growing rapidly, which is the time to start topping or training the plant.

Vegetative Growth Stage PPFD: 400~600µmol/m²/s, Light cycle: 16 hours a day

  1. Before Flowering (Pre-Flowering) Stage: 1Weeks

The plant enters the pre-flowering stage from the vegetative growth stage.  the cannabis plant will slow down in growing upward and being to “fill out” by producing more branches and nodes.  The pre-flowering stage is characterized by calyx at the nodes (part of the plant where branches meet the stem). The sex of the plant will become more apparent with the development of calyx.

At this point, male plants must be separated to avoid female pollination.

Before flowering, you can choose excellent female plants for cutting propagation

Before Flowering Stage PPFD: 600~1000µmol/m²/s, Light cycle: 12 hours a day

  1. Flowering Stage: 6-10Weeks

The plant will continue to fill out and show its sex clearly during the flowering stage. Female plant will have pale hair like pistils coming out of a “pod”. The length of the flowering stage depends heavily on the strain/genetics

Flowering Stage PPFD: 600~1000µmol/m²/s (If higher yield is required, PPFD can be increased to 1600µmol/m²/s)

Light cycle: 12 hours a day

The far-red light channel can be turned on during the flowering stage. If the grow light has a separate far-red light channel.

Don’t prune when plants are flowering stage, as it can upset their hormones

Buds typically grow the most toward the end of the flowering life cycle.

Clone cuttings of cannabis seedlings

Clone the cannabis plant, set the light intensity to 100µmol/m²/s,1, the humidity >90%, and the temperature to 60° to 70°F (16° to 21°C).

Once the roots of the plant have grown in about 4 to 7 days, you can safely increase the light level to 150-200µmol/m²/s, and lower the humidity to 80%.
